Bolivia is one of the most varied countries out there. You will probably have a hard time finding more variations of terrain in a single place and the huge mountain peaks often get lost in the dense clouds that overlook the whole area. It is also home to the most navigable lake in the world, with jungles, rivers and an array of wildlife.
If you are flying to Bolivia then there is a high chance that you will be landing in La Paz. This is one of the highest airports in the world and it is over 4,000 metres in size. The city is surrounded by mountains and travellers can find just about anything they need there. Of course, there are also a huge range of touring agencies who would be more than happy to help you with any questions that you have as well. Nightlife in La Paz can also be thrilling, with plenty of local restaurants available for you to visit.
This is one of the most dangerous roads in the world and it is the best way for you to get your blood pumping. Thousands of tourists ride this road every single year and it is about an hour away from La Paz. You have hairpin bends, snaking roads and even dusty tracks as well. There has been a new road built since its popularity rocketed and this reduces the amount of car traffic there. The views in this area are well and truly spectacular and if you love to take part in adrenaline-fuelled activities then this one is certainly for you.
The town of Rurrenabaque is a great place for you to take a walk through the Bolivian jungle. There are a lot of travellers who choose Bolivia as their chosen location when it comes to jungle exploration and this is because it is much more affordable when compared to other countries. You can even arrange your hotel, such as the Hotel De Sal Luna Salada at the same time. It’s a good idea for you to do your homework when booking a jungle tour because some providers are better than others and therefore can provide you with a better experience.
This is another highlight from Bolivia. The Salt Flats can offer you an experience unlike any other and it is a huge tourist attraction. When you book a tour to go and see these, you can see the multi-coloured mountains and you also get the chance to see the unique rock formations as well. You get to see the lagoons, the geysers and even the many volcanoes that span the area.
If you want to see all of the sights here then it does help to go for at least a couple of days. Take a camera with you and take photos of everything! You can even upload them to Instagram for some great photo memories. You can easily take in all of the local scenery while also learning everything there is to know about the habitat that the animals and wildlife call home.
All in all, Bolivia is a wonderful and thrilling place to visit, with marvels that are unmatched in other parts of the world.
