Summer might be fading away now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get that last bit of sun before accepting the cold embrace of winter. Finding a destination can sometimes be difficult around this time of year, but with these recommendations, you’ll hopefully be able to book one last summer holiday to enjoy sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and the bright sun warming your back.
Cyprus is one of the most common destinations for anyone that wants to experience one last bit of sun before the cold settles in. The summer warmth stays around in Cyprus longer than most places in the Mediterranean and there’s no shortage of beaches, sand and sun. During this time, Cyprus still averages over 90°F during the morning and afternoons, with nights settling in at roughly 65°F. The weather is perfect for a quick dip in the water, and you’ll still need to carry around a bottle of spray sunscreen with you to help protect your skin. The water feels like a soothing, warm bath thanks to the sun and there’s plenty of great food and attractions to indulge in while you’re here.
If you’re interested in a family vacation somewhere south of the equator, then look no further than Australia. Temperatures are currently anywhere between 85°F and 50°F, making it relatively warm and comfortable. There’s no shortage of luxury resorts and beaches, and there are some world-class entertainment and luxuries on offer in Queensland thanks to the fantastic location. Humidity is low around this time of year, making the heat comfortable without becoming overbearing and the water is nice and warm, making it perfect for a swim. If this sounds tempting, then you might want to book your Queensland adventure before it switches to the wet season in November.
Las Vegas might be known for its casinos and luxurious attractions, but it’s also one of the best places to visit all-year around if you like the heat. Temperatures are currently anywhere between 100°F and 70°F, making it nice and hot for anyone that enjoys the heat. Las Vegas is a landlocked state which means there are no nearby beaches. There are, however, plenty of luxurious resorts and beach clubs that will give you the same experience. For example, the Mandalay Bay is a resort with casinos, restaurants, nightlife, hotels and, of course, its world-famous aquatic playground. There are 2,700 tonnes of real sand to emulate the feeling of a beach and a 1.6 million gallon wave pool. All of this comes together in a unique holiday package that will make you feel like you’re at a beach while being hundreds of miles from the closest shore.
These are just a few examples of holiday destinations to visit before the winter comes. If you’re on the lookout for more, then take a look at places south of the equator because their cold season is just about to end, making it a great place to scout for your next holiday.
