You can do what you want, and heading off to parts unknown with a swimsuit and lots of suncream in your suitcase is the dream for a lot of people. But sometimes, we can seem to get very comfortable with our vacationing habits, and we’ve just got to push the boat out a little…

So when you’re making your next travel plans, why not spare a thought for the risk and adventure present in going off on your travels? There’s a lot to discover out there, and sitting by the pool side once again won’t make sure you’re seeing it! Here’s a couple of ideas to put to some good use.

Get Yourself a Good Home Base

As long as you’ve got somewhere safe and comfortable to retreat to when the day’s adventure is over, you’re going to feel on top of the world when you’re off on your next vacation. No matter what it is you want to get up to, whether it be a bit of deep sea diving or climbing a mountain range, if there’s a great hotel or hostel to come back to when you’re tired, you’ll be ready to take on anything!

So why not check out experiences like an extended stay hotel in San Antonio? There’s all kinds of local activities and adventures to go on in a city like this, make sure you’re sleeping and eating and restoring your energy in supreme comfort. Even camping has glamping nowadays, so be open to sprinkling a bit more luxury into your adrenaline adventures.

Go it Alone

When it comes to being more adventurous with the kind of travels you go on, if you decide to go it alone anytime soon, you’ll be opening yourself up to all kinds of experiences and pleasures. Sure, it’s great to be around friends and family in a foreign country, but being there by yourself gives you complete control! And it’s not as scary as you might think to try out.

Try Walking a Bit More

What kind of transport do you like using when you’re on vacation? Maybe you like to try out the local public bus, to make sure you’re catching all kinds of sights and meeting all kinds of people? Maybe you grab a train journey there and back, because they’re quite simple to work out? But how much walking do you do?

When you take to the streets with a backpack and some sturdy shoes, you get to the know the life and breath of the place you’re in. You get to witness events on a personal level, and you might even get to be a part of them!

Your vacations should always have some risk to them.
